Welcome to our "Home away from home." As you know we are one big happy family in room three. We are learning many new songs which guide us during the day to be kind safe, fair, and to care and share while at school. We have successfully attended two Masses this week with our sixth grade prayer partners. We also participated in the first fire drill practice and were excellent.
We are working on one letter a week, focusing on the letter symbol and the associated sound. We are making a puppet and mini bood for each letter to help develop the students fine motor skills. We also do word searches in many of our printed presentations to help the students focus on groups of letters as words.
We do a daily calendar drill and we know the day, date, month and year. We use it as a number grid to reinforce number symbols and the order of numbers.
