-THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15TH and 29TH is an early dismissal day at 1:00!
-TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD is Election Day, and school will be closed. It will be a teacher workday.
Please send your child’s admission fee to Sinkland Farms with the permission slip ASAP! If you have sent the permission slip without your child’s admission fee, we need the fee ASAP!
Please, please, please be sure and put your child’s name in all the sweaters, jackets, and coats he/she wears to school! Thanks for your help!
Firefighter Wayne Garst came to our school Monday afternoon, October 5th! Our friend, April Peacock, put on all of the clothes and equipment a real firefighter needs. We all practiced how to STOP-DROP & ROLL if our clothes were on fire. Firefighter Wayne told us that every family needs A FAMILY MEETING PLACE in their front yards. Every family member would go to that MEETING PLACE immediately if a fire started in their house. (Does your family have A FAMILY MEETING PLACE?) Last of all, we all got to get in Firefighter Wayne’s fire truck and listen to all its sirens!!! We had an awesome time.
A Special Request Sometimes children in Kindergarten still have accidents. We are in desperate need of boy and girls’ new underwear for 5 through 7 year olds. If you are able to donate a package of either to Kindergarten, we would really appreciate it!
Learning Lines This past week we started doing centers for approximately one hour each morning. The children really enjoy doing centers. The centers are: computer center, art center, reading to self, reading to someone, math shelf, yellow journals, and word study (guided reading).
