School Days in Ms. Alden and Ms. McGuigan’s Classes
April 27 – May 8 (two weeks)
Special Events
-TUESDAY, April 28th is an early release day at 1:00 for Margaret Beeks.
Happy Birthday to Addie – May 5 and Zane – May 8th!
Egg Hunt The weather wasn’t perfect, but a good time was had by all at our fifth annual Egg Hunt right before we got out from Spring Break! Some very responsible fifth graders hid all the eggs that came in on the Kindergarten playground, and they did a great job. Each Kindergartener got to take home quite a variety of the eggs she/he found… 7 each!
We are very sad, because Friday, May 1st is Ms. Cursi, Ms. Alden’s student teacher’s last day. Ms. Cursi has taught and done a lot of work with both classes. We will really miss her, and we wish her the best!!!
Learning Lines
-Our alphabet focus so far has been: Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg, Ii, Kk, Ll, Mm, Oo, Qq, Rr, Ss, Tt, Vv, Xx, Yy, Zz plus sh, ch, th.
-We have been trying to begin to understand that we live in Blacksburg, in the state of Virginia, in the country of the United States, on the continent of North America which is on our Earth!!! You hopefully saw a mobile come home about this. It is a very hard concept for Kindergarteners, but they will understand it in time. We are just introducing it in Kindergarten.
