WOW! I really feel appreciated! You and your children were very generous, supplying me with goodies all week! They planted a decorated pot with beautiful flowers. I have laughed and cried as I read the book they made for me. I, in turn, want to thank all of the parents for supporting me and for helping your child be the best he/she can be!
Our second graders are very excited about the Second Grade Sleepover on May 23rd. Many have received invitations, because they have reached their reading goal of 60 nights! More information will follow.
Teddy Bear Day will be tomorrow. Your child may bring a favorite teddy bear or other stuffed animal of reasonable size to share.
Language Arts: We will read The Art Lesson which we did not get to last week as we concentrated more on Egyptian tales. We will also read The School Mural. The last spelling test was today! We will continue to work with the suffixes ed and ing, and we will review nouns, adjectives, and verbs.
Math We will review and extend place value, we will do math puzzles that use parentheses, and then review unit 10 for the test.
Science We will complete our study of plants and begin to review other science subjects we studied this year.
Social Studies We will study the Ancient Chinese civilization.
