Dear Families,
Thank you SO much for all of the thoughtful cards and gifts! I feel incredibly appreciated and blessed to work with such an amazing group of families! I love these children so much! My heart aches whenever I think about what little time we have left. Anyone willing to keep their child with me next year...first grade is a great year to repeat!???? :)
This week¡¦s Buzz:
Weekly Words:
place someone once teacher two
Bonus: favorite
Sorry I didn¡¦t get a newsletter out last week. I had a hard time making time for it after the conference!
Most of the morning this week will be devoted to PALS testing. The children will be busy reviewing compound words, famous Americans, word chunks, and any vowel trouble that they seemed to have on their PALS spelling test. We have a bunch of super fun games planned this week.
The children are putting their finishing touches on their powerpoint presentations. I¡¦m working on an easy way to get them to you electronically, and I will send home a letter about it once it is complete. They look amazing, though!
This week¡¦s math lessons have a focus on fractions. We will be using graham crackers to learn them. Yummy! We are still building our ¡§fact power¡¨ by learning those addition facts 0-10.
