Students will write their homework in their planners; please check them daily.
If a child goes to the nurse/clinic,(because of illness) he/she will not be permitted to participate in recess.
Students must wear sneakers to participate in recess - BCPS policy.
If a student is dismissed early, they need to check in with all their teachers, especially their homeroom teacher.
If a students earns more than 3 detentions, he/she will lose a portion of their 5th Grade Spirit Day Celebration that is at the end of the school-year.
Tardy to class policy: Students have sufficient amount of time between classes to arrive on-time to each class. However, there has been a growing problem of tardiness to class by some students. Students who are tardy to class will walk a portion of recess for each minute late.
Office Announcement: If at all possible, we encourage you to not email a teacher or the office of any different arrangements for students to get home in the afternoon. A teacher may be absent or not available to check email; therefore, no one will ever know about the changes until too late. It is always best to send a note or call the office.
