Students in PE are required to purchase a GHS Gym Suit to be worn everyday in class. The cost of the gym suit is 18 dollars. Students are required to dress out for PE class everyday. Students may use their gym suit from last year if they still have it to use. Failure to dress out will result in a "0" on their participation grade. Always encourage your child on the importance of participating in PE class and being physically active.
Ninth Grade students will have a final exam for 9th grade health and PE at the end of the school year.
Alcohol and Drugs. Parents do not stay in the dark about teenage alcohol and drug use, and now especially the misuse of prescription drugs. Talk to your kids about the effects of alcohol and drugs.

Parents with the Spring weather now in full swing encourage your child to get outside and get exercising by playing lots of different activities. Remember exercising now can mean a healthy lifestyle later.
Everyday---Students should be outside moving and exercising for at least 60 minutes each day after school. Activities such as: Hiking, Biking, Walking, Running, Jogging, Weight Lifting, Game Sports ( Touch Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Golf, Baseball, Softball,and Soccer). Parents it is very important that you encourage your child to get outside and move and exercise. Exercising Now means a healthier lifestyle later.
Weekend Activities---Go Jogging,Running,swimming, biking,or Walking for 30 minutes. If all are done at the target heart rate for 30 minutes, students can increase their cardiovascular effiencey.
Encourage your child to treat people the way they would like to be treated, to work hard at everything they do, and be the best that they can be.
