This is last week of theis six weeks marking period. The students have been working very hard at getting adjusted to third grade. There is so much to learn and review!
This week in reading we will be introducing the genre , mystery. We will read Nate the Great, San Francisco Detective in our reader, and the students will be reading a mystery independently and be completing a literary report on the book which they choose from the library. I will up date the vocabulary words and spelling word flashcards on Tuesday afternoon on this site.
In Social Studies we are beginning a new unit of study - U.S. Government. This should take us right up to election time.
In Math clas we are studying place value up to hundred thousands and comparing and ordering numbers up to 9,999. These are all new concepts so please practice and review nightly.
