Report Cards are coming home today, Tuesday! They are in the weekly folder. Please sign them and return both the folder and the report card to school tomorrow. I have also included the Parent-Teacher Conference schedule in the folder. Please make several choices as to when you can best meet with me during the conference days. I make the schedule on a first come first served basis so the quicker you return the paper, the better guarentee you have of getting your first choice.
This week we began reading Allie's Basketball Dream. Students have new vocabulay words and new spelling words for the week. We will begin learning a new reading strategy called QARs. This stategy helps students analyze questions and identify the type of question so that they know how to find the answer. Hopefully by using the QARs and the Prove It strategy which we learned last week, the students will become better readers.
In Social Studies we continue our study of the government and are learning about the basic principles of our country- life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as well as, equality under the law.
We are learning about rounding numbers in math and will begin learning our five times table this week. Please practice and rectie these with your child.
Cookie dough will be delivered on Wednesday. Please come to the bus entrance doors to pick up your order between 4Pm and 6PM. Please collect all money and send it to school by Wed., Nov. 5th.
