Course Overview

Science 7: A whole year of Life Science/Biology with an emphasis on ecology, classification, scientific method, cell biology, genetics and reproduction.  The year concludes with a 6-week lab experiment involving plant growth and development.

Science 8: Eighth grade science is a year of Physical Science, which includes chemistry and physics.  Numerous lab activities are included throughout the year which reinforce classroom concepts.

Required Science Supplies:
   3-ring binder notebook
   calculator ($4.95 4-function calculator is fine)
   package of colored pencils

  Homework/Study Help. The web sites below are excellent sources of help for Science 8 homework,tests, or just learning the subject matter in general....

Most Homework is carry-over from an activities we started during class and are due the following day..So I won't try to post them all here. I will post all quizzes,tests,projects,and other assignments which have a due date.

  

  Science 7
We're currently studying cell structure and function. Students need to know the 10 cell organelles and their function within the cell.
Science 7 students have a standing Homework assignment:

Study your vocabulary words for 10-15 minutes three times a week !!!!


  Science 8:

Acid Base Lab is Thursday , March 19.

Unit 3 Test is Fri.,March 20.



Science 8 students have a standing homework assignment: Study your Unit Notes 10-15 min.,three times per week, in a quite place.
