Welcome to Preschool
We will learn to write our first names and also the numerals, 1-
Please read to your child every night before bedtime. It is one of the most important things you do with your child. It is a wonderful opportunity for some special time but is also very important for language and reading development.
Your child will be learning to use
Please remember that you are the most important teacher your child will ever have. You can help at home by incorporating learning into everyday activities. Count the basement steps, sort the socks by color, practice writing, cutting and coloring.
Also, please remember to check your child's folder every day. If you'd like to reply to my day's notes, you may do so by writing or by phone. Going through the folder with your child is a great opportunity to find out about your child's day and to develop language skills. Ask questions about the day's activities, meals, etc. and see if your child can answer correctly. Talk about the papers and projects and display them on the refrigerator, your child's bedroom door, etc. Children love to see there work displayed!
