Each day I will review and play games to help the students recall and review information. A quiz will be given every Friday with the S.O.L. review questions that are used in class.
Also, I have many quizzes and activities that the students can access on the Internet to help them review from home. Beginning today, April 15, I will post activities and quizzes related to what we are studying in class at www.quia.com/pages/mrslineberry.html.
A second website is http://quizstar.4teachers.org. (Note: There is no www in this address.) The students must have a log-in in order to go to this site. I have NOT gone over this log-in with the students at this time, but I want to share it with those parents that may want to go ahead and start these nightly reviews.
EX: For William “Bill” Jones in my second period class, his log-in would be:

(student initials – name he goes by; period for Civics - 2 digits; last 4 digits of your phone number) I used the phone numbers in the school office from the fall registration. So if your phone number has changed during this school year, use the number from the fall.)
The students are encouraged to practice at these websites.
As you can see, we have a busy calendar in the days ahead. Good attendance and nightly reviews are very important. As I mentioned earlier in the year, civics is rich in vocabulary and the students need to be strong in this area to do well on the state test. These quizzes and activities will strengthen vocabulary.
This is an important time to review the information we have covered this year in class. Your support is most important.
