We have begun PALA assessments this week. This is an exciting time. We are able to see the student's growth in Reading from the beginning of the year until present.
We will now begin reviewing letters and sounds that have proven challenging for the students. This week we will cover "Ll", "Ww" and "Kk". We have three new frequency words as well; "where", "get" and "and". Our story is the "Flower Garden" and we will be making our own flower garden for our room. We will also be working on the digraph "sh" and reading the book "Sheep in a Jeep". We will also continue working on addition and subtraction sentences as well as introducing the dollar bill.
