We are beginning Literary Forms. This includes Myths, Tall tales, Legends, Fairy tails, and Fables. Introduction to all areas.
Tuesday November 10th
Beginning with Fairy tales. We will read the story of Aschenputtel in the Lit books. It is a German Folk Tale. page 747.
Wednesday November 11th When we are done reading that story the students will make note of the details in the story and then read Cinderella. They will compare and contrast the characters and settings and summarize each plot.
Thursday November 12th:
Introduce Myths Read together King Midas page 682.
Do questions at the end of the story.
Cause and effect. Students will write out in sequence what happened in the story and what the cause and effect was. They will tell the "moral" of the story
