We are working on Reading Comprehension and figurative language such as Simile, Metaphor and Analogies. We are also looking at the point of view from which stories are told. We have also been talking about dynamic and static characters.
US HISTORY II
We are discussing the Civil Rights movement, Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech "I have a dream", The Bus Boycott, Rosa Parks etc. The kids are currently learning about two landmark court cases Plessy v. Ferguson, and Brown v. The Board of Education.
