Reading-The students will read and discuss the story Emily and Alice. They will complete the skill book pages that go along with the story.
Language-the students will review the parts of a sentence and combining the parts.
Spelling-The students will review the short e sound. They will complete unit 2. Starting next week the students who make a 100 on their pre-test will be working on a challenge word list and unit. Just like last year, the students can go back and forth between groups depending on the words that week.
Social Studies-The students will continue to learn about what goes together to make up a community. This week they will concentrate on in and around the city.
Science-The students will continue to learn about plants. In our Science Weekly Magazine the students will learn about sound and vibrations. The science experiment that goes along with this lesson is the students will make a model of the eardrum.
Math-The students will continue to add using addition strategies. The students will also add three addends. The students need to memorize the 3’s addition and subtraction facts. The quiz for these facts will be on Friday.
Religion-The students will learn about the mystery of the Holy Trinity. They will also learn about what Jesus tells us about who God is.
