I hope everyone had a restful and happy Memorial Day. Since this is the last week of school (wow, hard to beleive) I will not be giving homework but be sure to check bookbags for notes and other things coming home this week. I will send home art work and other projects along with their pencil boxes on Wednesday.
We will be busy finishing up some units and introducing some concepts in preparation for third grade, such as matter in Science and fractions in Math.
Wednesday morning will be the scholarship awards in the church @ 9:00 followed by yearbook signing. After lunch 2nd grade will have an icecream party outside if the weather permits. Thanks to the parents who arranged this. We will also celebrate summer birthdays on Wednesday.
It has been a pleasure teaching each child in my class this year, they are each special and precious. I enjoyed getting to know the parents too. I wish each of you a very happy and safe summer.
