I have enjoyed teaching this class so much. It will be hard to say good-bye on Thursday. I am so pleased with our progress. I think the students are ready for Third Grade. The students have worked very hard the past few weeks.
Projects and graded work will be coming home each day. Please clean out the bookbag each day. Students should return books I may have given them for extra reading such as the Flat Stanley, Cam Jansen, and Jigsaw Jones books. Thanks. All library books must be returned in order to receive your report card and be officially checked out for the end of the year.
Each family has assisted in many ways throughout the year by helping with supplies and especially helping the children come to school prepared for class each day. I appreciate all your efforts in helping your child enjoy the school year.
The Second Grade will have an ice cream party on Wednesday on the playground after lunch at 12:00. Parents are invited to attend.

Wednesday: Many parents requested summer work at the parent conferences so on Wednesday I will send home extra resource materials to be completed over the summer. Return your folder to the third grade teacher. Extra practice will help the children be prepared for third grade. Be sure to practice your cursive using the model strokes in your book.
Thursday is a ½ day. It is not free dress. There is no after school program.
Report Cards will be sent home on Thursday.
