Teacher Appreciation Week was awesome! Thank you for all you do and know that it is a joy to work and grow with your children.
On Tues., May 13th we will have our school Talent Show. It will be in the PLC/gym at 7 p.m. The First Grade will be doing the Irish Jig.
Due to our busy spring schedules and because the school year is nearing completion, the children will not have as much homework. Please continue to check folders and ask your child daily what they are up to. We will continue to be busy getting ready for the Second Grade. The children want to knock their teachers' socks off!
This week in:
Reading - We will be reading "The Adventures of Snail at School." We just might create some of our own space creatures.
Language - We will work on words with multiple meanings.
Spelling - We will learn space words.
Math - We will focus on double digit addition and begin double digit subtraction.
Religion - We will continue to learn about the Ten Commandments and learn that we can love through forgiveness.
Science - We will learn about space - the sun, the moon, and the stars.
Social Studies - We will continue to learn about our great nation.
