Hooray! The Saints won! Professional football has finally begun.
Thanks so much for all your hard work to make the back to school picnic such a success!
Someone left a gift of multiplication games in our classroom. Whoever did this, thanks so much!
Thank you to the Ladds, Grandes, Tochevs and Monyaks for their generous contributions to our class. I am always grateful for St. Anne's parents.
The students are beginning to be familiar with using their planners. Be sure to check them daily. In a few weeks, the students will be using them very confidently.

Our lesson plans for this week are:
READING - Our students have checkd out a fantasy book from the library. Our librarian assisted them with their selections. They will have a book report in class September 30. Be sure they bring the book to school that day. We have begun reading The Van Gogh Cafe. This is a short fantasy chapter book I think the students will enjoy.
SCIENCE 3 - Our first unit is on plants and animals. Hooray! What a great job third grade did on their vocabulary quiz! One day this week we'll take a trip outside our campus to discover the plant life we have.
SOCIAL STUDIES - The students did an excellent job on their oceans and continents quiz. We will continue to study communities this week including local government.
SPELLING - Unit 3 Spelling Words. Congratulations to Ben Hazelwood and Porter Harper for winning our Spelling Bees this week.
MATH - We will continue Chapter 1. We will order and compare numbers this week and work with money. If you have some time, you might do some activities with money at home.
4TH SCIENCE - We are studying cells. Students have a cell model due on Monday, September 8.
We will continue to study how organisms are classified.
