During the first half of the six weeks we are  focusing on General Safety and Kitchen & Food Safety.  Online work is posted in the "General Safety Grade 7" FOLDER, and  the "Foods" FOLDER on the web page, www.portaportal.com, using guest password PHRICE to get access to the page. "NEW" Links for you will have the dates written on them.



SUBJECT    Grade 7  FACS Exploratory                                                       TIME/PERIOD/BLOCK  3 and 6

CTE TASKS /Competencies (including #):
FCS8204.041 Manage personal resources.
FCS8204.024 Develop individual skills to manage multiple life roles, (daily life skills), and responsibilities.
FCS8204.027 Analyze responsibilities for self care in your environment...topics on safety related to basic FACS skills.

Lesson Objective(s):
The learner will gather and apply facts about safety concerns in general, at home and for using computers and the internet, in basic food preparation and basic sewing.
We are going to work on SEWING MACHINE skills this year.  One project is our popular RAIDER PILLOW.

Materials/Resources: Teacher made PowerPoint presentations and web pages, linked web sites, review and activity sheets, classroom copies of textbooks and videos, miscellaneous tools, equipment and  supplies, mobile computer lab.

MORE SPECIFIC "Anticipatory Sets/Strategies/Activities/Evaluations"
are available on hard copy in AMS Room 401

Supplies: bring paper, a pen or pencil and your Planner with you every day.

Homework: None yet! :)  
Make-Up work...
Activities: We use classroom copies of materials that must remain in room 401 for most of our lessons. Very little can be done at home as make-up work.
