Hope you had a good week and a better weekend. This is what we will be working on this week.
Reading: Dig,Dig,Digging by Margaret Mayo
1)Review all letters of the Alphabet. Study letters and their partners so child can identify and name in mixed order.
2)Amazing Words: cooping,swooshing, squelching, globbing, spinning,rumbling
3)Comprehension:Classify & Catergorize
4) Grammar: Introduce: Nouns for things and for places
5) rhyming words
Language Arts: Introduce syllables, discriminating initial sounds..Introduce /t/ review /m/.
High Frequency Words: Introduce: Review: to a I am the little cat dog mom dad
Math Activities and Investigations:Identifying numbers 0 to 6. Introduce 7. Calendar Activities Math and manipulatives. Inversigating patters, extending a pattern, what's missing and make pattern snakes.
This week's Specials:
Monday:Gym, Please wear tennis shoes. Please have your child read the little books sent home.You can store these book in the little box sent home earlier this year.
Tuesday:Computer Lab.
Wednesday:Music, Wear,bring or draw /t/(small) objects. Popcorn sold for snack $.50.
Thursday:Gym, Please wear tennis shoes.
Friday:Library,Test: Identify initial and final /t/sound; identify these words; mat tap Tim top cat; classify and categorize objects.
Behavior: Please encourage your child to have good manners.Please sign/inital the behavior sheet daily and return. The return of this sheet encourages responsinility and earns a stick which helps them to go to the treasure box. Please return the week's behavor sheet on Monday it is worth more points.
Please read the "Family Times" paper coming home at the beginning of each week. This paper has important skills to be practiced.
Please include a change of clothes for your child in his/her back pack.
