We are now in our second nine weeks of school. The students have had a chance to get adjusted to fifth grade. Now they need to step it up a notch. Several students have been doing this since day one, but I will give you some things to check with your child about.
*Students need to fill out their planner completely every day and get it signed every night.
*Students need to keep up with their journal activities daily.
*Students need to correct all work in their Take Home Folders.
*Work not finished in class needs to be taken home for homework and turned in the next day.
*If a student is absent they need to complete their makeup work.
**ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD TO STUDY A LITTLE EACH NIGHT. IT MAKES IT EASIER IF THEY ARE REVIEWING ONE LESSON A NIGHT INSTEAD OF MATERIAL FOR THE WHOLE TEST THE NIGHT BEFORE.
Our class could use some outside play equipment. If anyone would like to donate something it would be greatly appreciated by the students.
JOURNAL-Each morning students will have journal work. Students need a composition notebook to keep this in. I will take these up periodically for a grade. The activities will vary.
