Reading
Story—I Like Where I Am
We will be working on this story along with writing our class book to be published for 2 weeks
.
Vocabulary—trouble, giant, chuckle, fair, strong, block, tears, glee, usually
Please read the story at least 5 times before NEXT FRIDAY.
Some students will be bringing home Decodable Readers and/or Strategic Decodable Readers. Please sign the cover after your child reads it to you. Return it to school the next day.
Other students may be bringing home a reading passage to read one night a week. Allow your child to read the passage orally to you. Sign the paper and return it to school the following day.
Dictation Sentences
The test will be on 2 of the following sentences.
1. Is that a mouse making noise in the attic?
2. Make sure the soil is moist so the plant will grow.
3. I dressed up as a cowboy for the party.
4. I made a crown out of foil for my little brother.
5. Did you enjoy the story our teacher read to us?
Language— adverbs
We will also be writing our class book.
Math-time
+6 math facts test Wednesday
Math homework—spend 15 minutes each evening working on First In Math.
