An important part of the Literacy Connections class is vocabulary enrichment. A sheet with several vocabulary activities will be distributed each Monday, reviewed throughout the week and a quiz will be given on alternate Fridays.
Several writing assignments will also be given to students. The assignments are a part of the required Seventh Grade Writing Portfolio.These papers will be worked on during class time but some editing and final drafts will be assigned for homework.
We will also be reading several short stories and novels this year. In addition to this, we will work on Grammar daily. Students will be required to edit their own writing.
