Students will have SAT vocabulary words, prefixes and literary terms every week to learn for a test that will be given every Friday. The students will also be tested on literary analysis and reading comprehension. Whatever we cover during the week, will be on Friday's test. I will complete a thorough test review on Thursdays. Please make sure that your child has the appropriate materials for class. They will use all of it! Their notebooks should have five sections: Vocabulary, Literary Terms, Literature, Grammar and Writing. We will be starting the year with short stories and grammar. We will also be learning the details of writing good sentences with punctuation and capitalization. If you have any questions, please e-mail me.
