Parents:

To save yourself some trouble, click on "Notify Me" under Carnage Middle School in the top window.  If you give your e-mail address and some other info, the website will send a notification e-mail to you when we make major changes in the assignment lists below.  That way, you won't have to keep checking this page to see if anything new has been posted...you'll only have to check it out when you are notified!

HOMEWORK is assigned Monday - Thursday without fail. Please do not accept the excuse, I DON'T HAVE ANY HOMEWORK.
** The most accurate source for homework assignments is your child's planner.  Even when the site is not updated, assignments are written on the board and the student is told to write the assignment in the planner.

***Parents please discuss the events of your child's school day by asking him/her to share with you some of the things that he/she has learned. Your interest makes education seem more valuable and it encourages an attitude of wanting to be successful.  Please do not wait to receive a call from your child's teachers as to his/her progress; be an involved parent by calling or emailing us.  Because we teach many students, sometimes our parental contact may not be as timely as you would like, therefore we are asking for your help.  Please do not hesitate to contact us with your concerns.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

"What is success? I think it is a mixture of having a flair for the thing that you are doing; knowing that it is not enough, that you have got to have hard work and a certain sense of purpose."

Margaret Thatcher

Why are some fish at the bottom of the ocean?

...because they drop out of school!

ENDANGERED ANIMALS

Right Whale

The Right Whale is the most endangered of all whale species. There are only about 300 North Atlantic right whales that still inhabit the waters off the East Coast of the United States and Canada. These whales are large (adults weigh about 60 tons) and are slow swimmers. The right whale's body is rich in oil, which make them prime targets for whalers. The primary risks of extinction are entanglement in commercial fishing gear and collisions with ships.
