Parents:
To save yourself some trouble, click on "Notify Me" under Carnage Middle School in the top window. If you give your e-mail address and some other info, the website will send a notification e-mail to you when we make major changes in the assignment lists below. That way, you won't have to keep checking this page to see if anything new has been posted...you'll only have to check it out when you are notified!
HOMEWORK is assigned Monday - Thursday without fail. Please do not accept the excuse, I DON'T HAVE ANY HOMEWORK.
** The most accurate source for homework assignments is your child's planner. Even when the site is not updated, assignments are written on the board and the student is told to write the assignment in the planner.
***Parents please discuss the events of your child's school day by asking him/her to share with you some of the things that he/she has learned. Your interest makes education seem more valuable and it encourages an attitude of wanting to be successful. Please do not wait to receive a call from your child's teachers as to his/her progress; be an involved parent by calling or emailing us. Because we teach many students, sometimes our parental contact may not be as timely as you would like, therefore we are asking for your help. Please do not hesitate to contact us with your concerns.
***To schedule conferences...Please contact MRS. HAMPTON at 856-7600 or by e-mail: ehampton@wcpss.net
Conferences are scheduled Tuesday-Thursday (10:30am, 2:30pm, or 3:00pm)

"Baroke, baroke, baroke."

ENDANGERED ANIMALS

Rhinoceros There are five types of rhinos...Sumatran, Javan, black, white, and Indian. What they all have in common are large heads, broad chests, thick legs, poor eyesight, excellent hearing, and a fondness for rolling in the mud. They all are herbivores, eating grasses or leaves, depending on the species. The Rhinoceros gets its name from its most famous feature: its horns. The word rhinoceros comes from the Greek rhino (nose) and ceros (horn). The rhino horn, like our fingernails and hair, is made of keratin and has no healing properties. Poachers kill rhinos for the money their horns bring. Use the following web addresses to find out more about the Rhinoceros.
