ANNOUNCEMENTS
School fees can be paid to your child's homeroom teacher at anytime. The fee is $10. The money collected for school fees allows your child's teachers to receive additional materials to be used toward instruction, projects and more! Please support G.R. Whitfield by paying student fees as soon as possible.
CURRICULUM
As we begin the second nine weeks, Mrs. Dwyer and Mrs. Thompson will be working together to help students see connections between Language Arts and Science. In science, students will be studying the atmosphere and the human impact on the environment. Mrs. Thompson's language arts classes will be learning research skills, the informational writing genre, and evaluating and documenting a variety of sources.
During November and December, the 7th grade students will be participating in an interdisciplinary unit centered on producing a research product about global warming, its effects and prevention.
