REMINDERS

*Math homework will be assigned daily as it reinforces what is taught in
class.

*Star Problems (SP) are due each Thursday.  Please send the 12 pack of drinks, water, or whatever you choose to donate as soon as possible.  Once your child has accumulated 25 points and has donated a 12 pack, s/he will receive a drink.

*Accelerated Math (AM) has begun.  Students are responsible for keeping up with the folder I provided for them.  AM should come to class daily.  Each TOPS report signed by a parent/guardian and returned the next school day earns your child 5 BONUS POINTS.  35 objectives mastered is the goal for the second nine weeks.

*Your child should have daily notes and examples that will help with  homework completion.  If your child claims s/he does not know how to  complete an assignment, ask to see his/her notes for that day.

*Encourage your child to be attentive in class, ask questions, and attempt  all assignments to the best of his/her ability.

*Review notes nightly to prepare for 2-3 graded open book and open notes  assignments each week.

*Wear your school uniform daily.  White, red, navy, or black plain collared  shirts may be worn.  Plain unhooded sweaters or sweatshirts in the school  colors may be worn also.  No words, logos, pictures, or insignias may be on  shirts, sweaters, or sweatshirts.  Coats may not be worn inside the building.

*Communication Folders go home each Monday.  Please review the contents of  the folder, sign the back of the folder, and return the folder and necessary  papers on Tuesday.  Also, sign and return graded Math papers with a grade below 70 on Tuesday.  If you need more time to review your child's work, please send a note on Tuesday.

*School Fees are $10.00.

*THANKS for donating items from the Wish List.  Please continue to remember our class throughout the school year.
