Congratulations to our class on winning the Christmas door decorating contest! I am so proud of each student for their creative ideas and teamwork effort.
We will be celebrating with a pizza party on Jan. 18. This is also the last day of the nine weeks.
As we begin a new nine weeks, students will begin on a new AR goal and a new Acc. Math goal. Students should be reading 20-30 minutes each night and may bring home extra Math if needed.
Remember students are rewarded not only through success in their grades, but also with extra priveledges if they meet thier goal. We will be having a classroom movie/popcorn day for meeting math goals, and a movie theatre day for meeting reading goals.
We are down to only nine students in the class, and I feel sure they are all dedicated to do the work it requires to be successful in 8th grade next year.
As the second nine weeks comes to an end we will no longer have Reconnecting Youth. This will allow us more time to focus on the 7th grade writing test. Expect your child to have writing assignments for homework as well.
Please call if you have any concerns about you child's progress. I welcome you taking an interest in what is happening at school!
