1st Grade WGP:
We will begin class by working on singing and matching pitches.
This week we are learning about Native American history and music. We will learn about the Zuni Tribe of New Mexico and perform the pottery dance.
3rd Grade WGI:
We will begin by working on singing, matching pitches, and learning the words to our National Anthem.
This week we are learning about Native American instruments and songs. We will discuss how the instruments are played, sing songs and perform Native American dances.
5th Grade WGI:
We will warm-up using solfege and takadimi rhythms.
We will sing our National Anthem.
We are continuing to work on our recorder playing skills. We are working on "Recorder Karate" and "Red Hot Recorder" books. We will be adding a Native American song for recorder.
