Schedule for April and May:
The third marking period ends April 4.
Students will be reading the novel So B. It in class. They will have daily journal entries in response to questions about the novel. There will be 4 sections of journals and other activities to complete, as well as a quiz on each section and a cumulative test on the novel. Students will be reviewing EOG practice every day in class and will turn in that work every Friday for a classwork grade. Students will have a grammar worksheet for homework every night Monday through Thursday. Only Block 2 will have vocabulary tests which will be on every Friday. Also, each week the students will read a non-fiction article in class and write a summary that is due the same day as the section quiz. Quizzes will not always be on Fridays, due to the length of the novel. This is a tentative quiz scedule:
Section 1 Quiz: April 9
Section 2 Quiz: April 15
Section 3 Quiz: April 22
Section 4 Quiz: April 30
Cumulative Test: May 6
Your child should read their library book each night for 20-30 minutes in order to meet their AR goal for the 4th nine weeks. The 7th grade does have a grade level party for all those who meet their AR goal this last nine weeks.
Remember EOG's are scheduled for the week of May 19.
