Welcome to the Migrant Education Program's Web Page. It is the intention of the Migrant Webpage to support administrators and teachers by providing generic samples of letters and forms translated into Spanish.Parents and students will be able to access pertinent school and community information.

Bienvenidos a la página de internet del Programa de Educación para Migrantes.  La intención de la página de internet es la de proveer ayuda a los administradores y maestros con cartas y formas en español.  Los padres y los estudiantes tambien podrán tener acceso a la informacion pertinente sobre las escuelas y la comunidad.




Our Autumn Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) distribution will be the week of November 12th.  We have wonderful new hardbound books to give away free of charge to our migrant students.  Look for information your child will be bringing home.


  GOING TO COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY

The Migrant Education Office has information to help you plan for a college education.  We can share guidelines on the admission of undocumented persons to the University of North Carolina system.

We can give you a list of scholarships for students regardless of immigration status and information on how some students may qualify to take college admission tests free of charge.  Call Mrs. Miriam Basso  for more information at 704-630-6089.  You may also call Mrs. Maria Nunez at (704) 630-6131 or click on her link on this page to e-mail her.

La Oficinia de Educación para migrantes tiene información para ayudarle a planear una educación universitaria.  Nosotros pademos compartir pautas en la admisión de personas sin documentos a la universidad de Carolina del Norte. 

Nosotros podemos darle una lista de becas a los estudiantes teniendo en cuenta su estado de emigración.  Tambien tenemos  información para aquellos estudiantes que califiquen para tomar examenes de admision gratis en una universidad

Maria Nuñez  is our ESL Parent Liaison.  Please call her at (704) 630-6131.  She is eager to assist our ESL and Migrant parents. 

Dixie W.Dalton is the Title I Parent Coordinator.  Contact her at www.schoolnotes.com/28145/dalton.html between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.; for an appointment, call her at (704) 630-6106. The Resource room has materials for parents to check out for their children who attend Title I schools.  A copier, laminator, book binding machine, and other resources are available free of charge for parents to use.
