Successfully Educating All Students
***********************************************************
At the end of each year, I find myself with such bitter-sweet emotions. I know that my work with this year's students is over. I send them on to a new school confident that we reach every standard in sixth grade mathematics. However, the "academics" of sixth grade is only part of the experience. Sixth grade is a pivotal year. Students begin the teen-age process. Some students start to worry less about their family and more about friends. They begin a socialization process that will greatly alter their lives. It is so important that all students begin to find their niche --I encourage each one to get involved in as much as you can. There are so many activities at BSJHS. Find a place--
"Guys and dolls" , I have enjoyed teaching you this year. You have worked hard --well, most of the time.(haha) I care so much for each of you. Six years from now, I want to open the newspaper (probably from a nursing home :-)) and find every one of your names on the graduation roster. You will not remember me, but please know that I won't forget you. Have a great summer! Be Safe!
Work hard next year. Come see me when you can!!

SCHOOL IS NOT OVER --STUDENTS NEED TO REMEMBER THE RULES OF THE SCHOOL AND MY CLASSROOM ARE STILL IN EFFECT. EACH CHILD IS EXPECTED TO BE PREPARED EACH DAY WITH PENCIL, NOTEBOOK , AND MATH WORKBOOK.

Please check your child's agenda each day. It is STILL the best way to stay in touch with what is going on in the classroom. As always, there should be an assignment written in each subject everyday. _______________________________________________________
Failure to follow rules and procedures already established in my classroom will result in lunch detentions and/or office referrals.
