*11/2: Our day at the book fair

*11/5: Field trip to Stone Mountain, GA

Field Trip Info: Our field trip is this Thursday, 11/5.  You should drop your child off at school between 6:15 - 6:25.  The buses will leave at 6:30 with or without you.  Be on time!!

*Students are allowed to bring iPods, games (PSPs, Gameboys, etc.), and cell phones to use on the bus.  However, the school (administrators and teachers) as well as the bus company will not be responsible for these if they are lost, stolen, or damaged. 

*Students can bring spending money, but it is not necessary.  Lunch has already been paid for.

Reading

-We will be reviewing context clues and studying Greek/Latin roots and prefixes and suffixes this week.  We will test next week.

-Students should be reading a minimum of 2 lines each night of 100BC.  If they would like to earn a 100 for a test grade at the end of the nine weeks, they should be reading 14 lines each week.  Twenty-two lines each week will enable them to go to the 100BC celebration at the end of the nine weeks.

Writing

-We'll finish up our response letters on Monday.  Final copies will be due on Tuesday.  We'll also start our state Superintendent writing this week.

Social Studies

-We're still studying the industrial revolution.  Our test will be next Tuesday, 11/10.
