  1. Give notes on the six simple machines
  2. Read in  groups in the text Lever: page 427, Wheel & axle page 428, pulley page 428-429 inclined plane page 430. Wedge page 430-431, and screw page 431,
  3. Each group will give the definition of their simple machine and 3 important facts from what they read to share with the class.
  4.  Line of learning: Make a paper puzzle of the six simple machines.  Each piece should have the information from all the groups.

Plan:  Teacher will choose from: Warm Up  Copy and answer: without using your notes, what does work mean?  (2 parts to the answer)

1.       Do levers experiment A

2.       Watch brain Pop: Levers

3.       Line of learning-What is a lever?  What are the 3 types of levers?  How can you tell the 3 types of levers apart?

Assessment : 8.1a and 8.1b sheets

Homework:  Study test is Wednesday.
