Tuesday 12/2 Social Studies - Progressive Movement
Upcoming units/tests:
English - We will continue working on our Non-fiction picture books. The Non-fiction picture book will count as a Reading and English Test grade.
Reading - We will continue research on a topic chosen by each student to make a non-fiction picture book. Each student's book will include a table of contents, index, bibliography, and the other non-fiction text structures that we have studied. The Non-fiction picture book will count as a Reading and English Test grade.
Social Studies - We will continue studying the Progressive Movement. Students should study their study guide a little each night. Progressive Movement Test on Wednesday 12/3. Then we will begin World War I.
100BC - 100BC reading is underway! We will read 2 steps in class (30 min) each day and students are encouraged to read 2 steps (30 min) each night at home. Logs will be checked at the end of the 2nd 9 weeks for a TEST grade. They need to be reading at least 14 lines each week in order to receive an "A" on the 100 BC reading test at the end of the 9 weeks. They need to be reading an average of 22 steps per week in order to receive the 100 BC 9 weeks party.
