What a wonderful year this has been! Mrs. Caruso and I are so proud of how hard the children have worked and all they have learned. Please continue to review the kindergarten skills over the summer vacation so your child will be ready for first grade in August. Please provide your child with opportunities to write and draw. The public library has wonderful programs to keep your child involved in reading activities. READ, READ, READ! Thank you for sharing your child with us this year. We hope you have a fun, safe summer vacation.
The class rules below will be taught to the children at school. Please review the rules with your child often.
CLASS RULES
1. Keep hands and feet to yourself
2. Speak courteously/Be kind
3. Follow teachers' directions
4. Do not run in the classroom
5. Walk quietly in the hall
6. Do not put toys in your mouth
7. Obey cafeteria rules
8. Obey playground rules
9. Obey all classroom rules
10. Be at school on time
CONSEQUENCES
1. Verbal warning
2. Five minutes time out
3. Ten minutes time out
4. Note or telephone call to parent
GENERAL NEWS
Please check your child's book bag each day. We will be sending home letters containing important information about our classroom policies.
Put your child's name on everything you send to school, especially the envelope for lunch money and other monies.
School begins at 7:40. Please make sure your child is in his/her classroom and ready to start the day on time.
School dismisses at 2:30.
A note must be sent to the school or parents must call the school office if there is a change in the way your child will go home.
