SPECIAL NOTE TO PARENTS
With our new unit, we will have a group presentation project “Colonial Timeline”. Look for the grading rubric your child will bring home. The majority of work will be done in class.
There are several things you should be aware of with this unit. Students will be completing a STUDY GUIDE in class as we work our way through all 13 colonies. You may want to check to see how thoroughly your child is completing it.
Due to the large unit vocabulary, there will be three separate vocabulary quizzes.
There is BACKGROUND READING in the at-home text which should be signed off by you AFTER he/she has completed the reading. Students are to do the BACKGROUND READING throughout our study—not on the day before!
As always, please don’t hesitate to email or call me if you have a question or concern.
