Thank you to all for my surprise (and I mean suprise!) birthday! It was a wonderful day and I absolutely loved our class project (I tried so hard to get it at the auction) and the gift certificate! The students' excitement and well wishes touched my heart so very deeply. Thank you so much!!!
I also wanted to thank you for a wondeful year! Words cannot express how truly Blessed I feel for the awesome class that I have. Each child has brought amazing gifts to our class and helped make each day a treasure. I appreciate all the hard work and positive attitudes that the students have had this year. It has made my teaching that much easier and that much more of an honor. I am in awe of the parental committment and support that the students and I have received throughout the year. I feel that I am a better person and teacher because of the 5S community and I cannot wait until next year!!

Tues,6/2: Soc.St: Chapter 9
This week: In order to assess each student's overall success this week, 5th grade will give an assessment in each subject. It will be very general and I will not count it in their grade. It will be used as a tool for suggestions/ideas to help your child over the summer (especially for those who will elect summer help/tutoring), for you to understand strengths and weaknesses for next year, and as a feedback tool for teachers.
Homework will vary this week and continue to be light. Check your child's planner.
Monday: Study for Social Studies!
