Valentine's roses and carnations for sale: Starting Tuesday, January 22 and ending February 8th the sports program will be selling roses and carnations. The cost is $2.50 per rose and $1.50 per carnation. Forms can be downloaded off the school's website, picked up in the front office or from Miss Fox. Please make checks payable to St. John the Beloved sport's program. Thank you in advance for your support of the sports program.
Basketball: The jr and sr girls and boys have a home game this Saturday, January 26th starting at 10,11,12,and 1. Inland skateboard and surf shop is sponsoring the games and will be giving away free t-shirts,stickers etc.. throughout the day. Admission is $1 for K-8, $2.00 for adults and 3 and under is free. Come out and support the Seahawks for a day of some great basketball.
Archery: The Archery tournament will be held at Dubose Middle School on Thursday, February 14th from 5-7. The team can only consist of 6-8 graders and may only have 24 participants. Miss Fox will take the first 24 applications. The cost will be $20(made checks payable to St. John the Beloved sports program). The fee is to purchase team shirts. Applications may be picked up from Miss Fox. The last day to sign-up is January 29. Practice will be held twice a week, once during lunch and once after school.
Hot Lunch: The hot lunch menu for February is up and ready. The last day to order is Friday, February 1 and payment must be received by Monday, February 4th. Note, there has been some changes to the menu. Wednesday, February 6, Ash Wednesday, cheese pizza will be served and will be the only option on Fridays throughout Lent. Also, Monday's menu for MaMa Garcia has added beef and chicken fajitas to the menu.
Golf Clinic: If you missed the deadline for the golf clinic, you still have a chance to sign-up. Miss Fox will except sign-up forms until Friday, January 25th. The cost is $125 and it is a hour a week for 6 weeks. Instruction will be on Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30.
Tennis: The last day to sign-up for tennis is Friday, January 25th. The cost is $65 and it is for boys and girls in grades 3rd through 8th. Sponsors are also needed to help offset the cost of equipment and shirts for the team. Registration forms can be downloaded off the website or ask Miss Fox for a form.
7th and 8th grade baseball: The last day to sign-up for baseball is Friday, January 25th. The cost is $70 and sponsors are also needed to help offset the cost of equipment and uniforms. Registration forms can be downloaded off the website or ask Miss Fox for a form.
