Espanol 1

Martes 26 - Review past tense, teach some irregular verbs in the past tense. More practice with book and workbook with past tense. Major test on all the present and past tense this Thursday 28. HW. from workbook with past tense.

Miercoles 27 - Check HW. Give list of objectives learned all year in Spanish 1 as guide to study for final exam. Review present and past tense endings, and irregulars in the past tense. Go over answers from HW. HW. translate sentences with verbs in the past tense.

Jueves 28 - Check HW. quick review of present and past. Give Major test. Give handout on verb bank to help study for final exam.

Viernes 29. Review for Final exam. Please bring book, workbook, and all lesson handouts.

Espanol 2

Martes 26. - Review list of expressions indicating the tense to be used. Give list of objectives learned all year in Spanish 2 as guide to study for final exam. Finish lesson of the comparatives. Finish answers of handout with the superlative. Practice more with listening comprehension. Finish handout exercises for HW. Major test on all the basic tenses this Thurs. 28.

Miercoles 27 - Check HW. Go over answers, review lesson of all comparatives. Review meanings of the different tenses. Reiview conjugations. Major test tomorrow.

Jueves 28 - Quick review before Major test. Start reviewing for Final exam. Please bring book, workbook, and all lesson handouts given during the year.

Read book Unit 5, Lesson 2. page 272, answer excersises page 274. Quiz on 2nd group of vocab. and chores with verbs this Wed. 13. HW. study.

Martes 12 - Give practice test with house vocab. and chores, go over answers, review book answers. Review irregular verbs. Go over handouts. Teach formal affirmative commands, dictate sentences to translate for HW. Also for HW. do handouts of irregular verbs. Study for quiz tomorrow.

Miercoles 13. Check HW. Quick review, quiz of 2nd group of vocab. and chores with irregular verbs. Open book page 199, go over lesson then start with first handout on verbs changing from e - ie. Do worksheet excercises and workbook pages 151 and 152 for HW. also memorize the 1st group of verbs from 1st handout that change from e - ie and how to conjuate them. Quiz on e-ie verbs this Thurs.

Martes 14. Check HW. of handout and workbook. Start oral presentations 3 to 5 students per day. Go over lesson, rules of stem- changing verbs. Go over all answers of handout and workbook. For HW. do book page 200 exercises 5 and 6.

Miercoles 15. Check HW. of book. Continue with oral presentations. Go over verbs for meaning and conjugation on e -ie verbs. Go over answers of book work. Quiz tomorrow of e-ie verbs.

Martes 10: Check HW. go over vocabulary, give handouts on Idioms of tener, and demonstrative adjectives, explain both lessons. Sample near future oral presentation with clothing. During classwork with book and handouts, continue with daily schedule resitation. HW. study vocabulary, and do idioms of tener handout.

Miercoles 11: Check HW. go over vocab. go over demonstrative adj. Put lesson on overhead to copy. During classwork with demonstrative continue with resitation. HW. with idioms of tener and demonstratives study vocab., colors, etc.

Jueves 12: Quick review. Give Major test. Start with lesson about Spain with book and start booklet. 1st assignment to read 1st 2 pages and answer all questions in Spanish.

Viernes 13: Check HW. Spain. Continue with geography of Spain, 1st quiz on Tuesd. 17. HW. read and answer geography questions.

Due to school closing today Monday, and making up for the day this Friday, please read changes. (moving everything one day)

Espanol 1

Martes 3: Check all HW. letter to a friend, workbook 127, book exercises and practice with months from overhead. Working with Power Points in Language Lab. computers. Thursday quiz on all the numbers , up to a million, with rules. Also Major test of all family, pets, months, numbers, and possessives will not be Thursday, but it will be this Friday, since we will have school.

Miercoles 4: Review all numbers, rules and go over #'s handout answers. Go over all answers of Monday's HW. Review possessives, pets, numbers etc. Major test on all these, Friday 6.

Jueves 5: Review briefly #'s. Give quiz on all #'s. Go over lesson on telling the date book page 171. Review possessives, practice on overhead. Add to family vocabulary - older/younger. If time read culture page 180. Major test on all, family, pets, months, #'s, dates, possessives this Friday 6.

Viernes 6: Give Major test. Start Unit 4, lesson 1 - clothing, colors. Review seasons, expressions to be hot / cold. HW. from workbook with new lesson.

Espanol 2

Now martes 3: Check HW. on handout of preterite vs. imperfect. Review lesson of imperfect, present, past. Major test moved to Wed. Continue with list on key expressions to use the preterite or imperfect. Quiz on these key expressions this Frid. 6

miercoles 4. Brief review of the imperfect, give major test. Continue with preterite vs. imperfect, more practice from book and workbook.

jueves 5. Go over practices. Go over key expressions meaning and use. Quiz tomorrow.

Espanol 1:

Martes 24: Check numbers handout HW. Continue with possessive adjectives, go over answers in workbook. HW finish numbers handout and workbook pages 125,126 and 127. Remember reciting poem tomorrow.

Miercoles 25: Check HW. Go over family/pets/numbers/possessives. Give handout for classroom work while reciting poem.

Jueves 26: Go over answers of worksheet. Give practice test with family members. Continue poem. Major test tomorrow on family.

Viernes 27: Go over family members. Give test. Do bookwork pages 166 exercises 1 and 2. exercises 4 on 168. HW 170 exercises 5 and 6.

Martes 24: Check HW. Go over both handouts, AR, ER, and IR. Give 3rd handout on Irregular verbs. Continue recitation of proverbs. Friday major test on the imperfect tense included present and past.

Miercoles 25: Check class work on irregular verbs. Go over answers. Open book to 202. Go over grammatical note. Do ex 4 in class. Go over imperfect tense lesson on 203. Classwork/Hw pages 204, ex 5 and 6 and 205 part 8. HW Workbook pages 151, 152, 153. Continue proverbs if not finished.

Jueves 26: Review imperfect tense again, check answers from book and workbook. Major test tomorrow on all imperfect tense including present and past.

Viernes 27: Brief review of the imperfect tense. Give major test. Give handout on the preterit vs. imperfect. For homework read handout lesson and book lesson page 208. Do exercise 209 book exercise 12 and 13.

Espanol 1:

Martes 17: Check HW WB pages 104 to 107. Review all food, review all interrogative words. Review gustar, conjugations of regular verbs. Go over WB answers. Book HW. Major test of unit 3 lesson 1 Friday.

Miercoles 18: Check HW. Go over food, interrogatives, Gustar etc. Go over HW. Practice more with Gustar, food, and interrogatives.

Jueves 19: Check HW, Go over answers. Review everything, start family vocabulary and possessives. Study for tomorrow's major test.

Viernes 20: Quick review, give major test. Continue family vocabulary. HW WB and book with family.

Espanol 2:

Go over rhymes, extra credits. Review for Tues. quiz. Learn the Spnish vowels, and rules. Homework with the alphabet, use dictionary, write 2 Spanish nouns, and 2 verbs and their translations, for each letter in the Spanish alphabet. Start with Basic commands lesson.

Spanish 2

Checking homework, questions. Go over functions in class. Review 2nd homework of the year, the logical questions. Doing 2nd page of Diagnostics exam, go over the answers. Go over personal pronouns homework, too. Homework study the vocabulary of functions in class, and memorize all the questions

Quiz of rest of commands. Continue with class vocab.

Review vocab. of poem, give quiz. Continue with C and D on ser / estar handout. Poem's recitation starts tomorrow. Major test of ser/estar and Que / Cual next Tuesday 9.

Spanish 1

Learning to use the texbook, what is in the prelimiary lesson. Practice with class vocab.

Spanish 2

Guide ser / estar handout for excersice E. Start poem recitation. Using book, explain Preliminary Lesson, focus on section of ser/estar, do ex. 20 for classwork. Tomorrow we continue with emotions.

Viernes 5, Sep.

Spanish 1

Copying greetings, basic questions from overhead, introductions, going over translations. Remember coming Tues. 9 will be the major test of class vocabulary with articles.

Spanish 2

Check hwk. ser/estar handout and book ex.20 on ser/estar. Call out 10 sentences to be translated for homework with ser/estar. Give condensed explanation of Que/Cual to remember. Continue with poem recitation. Major test on Ser/Estar, Que/Cual next Tued.

Lunes 8, Sep.

Spanish 1

Review for tomorrow's major test class vocab. with articles. Continue with greetings and introductions, handout on greetings, book work with greetings.

Spanish 2

Check homework, translations of sentences, review answers. Review answers of ser/estar, handout and book. Continue with poem recitation
