Welcome to our assignment website. Here Mr. Schertz, Mr. Reshetov, and Mrs. Carpenter post all of the major assignments and their due dates, post the daily homework assignments, and have helpful hints.  This site is usually updated on Sunday for the following week.  You can see all of the assignments for that week. You can also email Mrs. Carpenter from this site.

HELPFUL HINTS:

BRING TEXTBOOK, CALCULATOR AND LAB NOTEBOOK TO CLASS DAILY. Calculator should do logarithms, exponents, and scientific notation.

WRITE IN LAB NOTEBOOK IN INK -- WRITING LAB ON NOTEBOOK PAPER EARNS NO CREDIT.

SCIENCE FAIR STUDENTS: RESEARCH PLAN AND ALL DOCUMENTS DUE TO MR. SCHMIDT IN 4314 ON DECEMBER 2, 2009.

Pop Quizzes weekly over ions, acids, elements,naming compounds, peridoic trends, metric conversions, and moles. ( All teachers).

Unit 2 SPA due Friday, November 20,2009, at the beginning of class.

Quiz over Unit 2 SPA Friday, November 20, 2009. (Can use lab notebook during quiz).

HOMEWORK: These assignments are the homework assignment for that night. You need to bring your textbook, lab notebook, and calculator to class daily.

November 5: Thursday: Read 12.1 and 12.2. Page 361 Q. 13,14 and Page 364 Q. 15 and 16.

November 6: Friday: Hydrate lab

November 11: Wednesday: Lab Summary

November 12: Thursday: Page 379 Q. 48, 52

November 13: Friday: Design a procedure for SPA.
Complete prelab for SPA
Put all SPA work into lab notebook

November 16: Monday: Update lab notebook with SPA apporved procedure and data table

November 17: Tuesday: Complete your portion of the SPA and put in lab notebook.
Prepare a data table for Part 2 procedure of SPA.

November 18: Wednesday: Complete all of the math for the SPA in your lab notebook. Use the data from the lab to find the mass of the barium, chloride, and water in the compound. Show all the steps for finding the empirical formula for the lab.

Complete your portion of the SPA and bring to class on a flash drive or email it to your account.

November 19: Thursday: SPA due at the beginning of class. You will have 5 minutes to get it assembled and turned in.
Bring lab notebook as you will have a quiz over the SPA after turning it in.

November 20: Friday: Complete review sheet for Chapter 12 test.

Monday: November 23: Study for test over chapter 12.

November 24: Tuesday: Complete Part A of crystal lab and bring models to class on Monday after the holiday.
