This semester we will be focusing on pulling out reading strategies in text. Students need these skills to become better and more efficient readers and this will allow them to prepare for the CRCT testing coming up in April.
We are currently working on Stated and Implied Main Ideas that will be followed by Authors Purpose, Drawing Conclusions, and Making Inferences. Instruction will be a combination of class work and homework. Please check your child’s agenda for homework weekly. Students know on Monday most assignments.

Main Idea Billboard Project – Due: 1/15 at the end of class
Main Idea Test – Thursday 1/22
