Literature: We will be studying Non-fiction, Propaganda, and Drama. Students will be working on their own autobiographies in class as a project grade. We will continue with vocabulary each week with an additional Greek/Latin root word as well as a prefix and suffix to memorize. Students will be quizzed each Friday of a "normal" five day week.
Language Arts: We will be studying conjuctions and pronouns in addition to simple, compound, and complex sentence stucture. Capitalization and puncutation will also be reviewed this nine weeks. We will begin the research process which will carry through to the 4th nine weeks where students will actually write a research paper. Students will continue to have spelling tests each Friday of a "normal" five day week.
