Halloween/Fall Celebration
We will be having a very simple Fall Celebration on Wednesday. We just had this approved from Mrs. Sanborn. We will be doing some fun activities during our Center Time. I have asked some of you to send in items we need. Please check your child's agenda. If you did not get a note this time, don't worry! We have lots of other things we will be needing throughout the year.
Cookies
Thank you to those who took a cookie from our "Cookie Jar" at the Open House/Cookie Social and have returned the item on the cookie. We appreicate it so much. If you took a cookie and haven't sent in the item... it isn't too late! We need stuff all the time! Thanks so much!
Science/Social Studies: We continue our unit on Fall.
We will continue to talk about Fall animals next week and their habitats. We have fun fall centers. Ask your child about them. Ask them about the echolocation activity we did with bats. They loved it!
Flex Groups
Flex Grouping continues to go well. Ask your child what he/she is doing each day in group.

Library
We had a lot of children forget their books this week.
Please remember that each Friday is library day.
Your child needs to bring his/her library book back so that he or she may check out a new book or books. We are now checking out 2 books. One is an AR book and the other is a pleasure book. Please make sure both books are returned so your child can check out new ones. Read your library book this weekend!
Book It!
Book It! for October is due on Wednesday.
If you haven't completed your 10 books- do so by Wednesday. Sign your sheet and send it in for a Free Pizza!
PE
PE is Monday and Wednesday. Please remember to wear the appropriate shoes. We've had a lot of children forget to bring the appropriate shoes. Flip flops, sandals, and crocs are not acceptable. We had some children forget to wear the appropriate shoes this week.
Money
I got lots of $ this week with no name on it.
Please remember to put your child's name on everything.
Thank you to those who are remembering to do this.
Please send lunch and ice cream $ in separate envelopes. Mark each envelope with your child's name and what it is for. If you want to send ice cream $ in a plastic baggie with your child's name on it- I will return it and you can reuse it.
Jackets/Coats
Now that it is getting a little cooler and jackets are coming in, please remember to put your child's name in them. We have tons of Lost and Found items daily.
Kroger and Publix Rewards
Don't forget to shop at Kroger or Publix and earn White Oak some funds!
Yearbooks
If you want to purchase a yearbook, send in your # attached to the sheet. They are on sale for a while.
