7th Grade Math
Third Nine Weeks
For this third nine week, your child will learn about patterns, functions and graphs.  Your child will learn that the same set of data can be represented in different ways, including tables, equations, and graphs.  We will begin by graphing ordered pairs on a coordinate plane. Then we will learn about functions and will graph them.  A mathematical function is a rule that pairs one output value to each input value.  We will use a table to organize input and out values and write ordered pairs that can be graphed.  We will learn to use functions to solve problems involving constant rates of change, such as rising temperatures.
Your child has been assigned "Math Bridges" which will be our homework book. Assignments will be written in his/her agenda daily.  Please check the agenda to keep up with the current assignment.
For additional resources, visit go.hrw.com and enter keyword MS7 Parent.

Please work with your child on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills.
