Welcome to the 2008-09 school year! This year I will be teaching 6th grade math and 6th literature in both the resource and co-teaching classrooms. I am also teaching 7th grade math in the co-teaching classroom.
For my students in the co-teaching classroom, please be sure to check out the regular education teacher's Schoolnotes webpage for information and updates. They are:
6th Grade Literature - Mrs. Eimer
6th Grade Math - Mrs. Bryant
7th Grade Math - Mrs. Hinson
Below is a brief summary on the content areas that will be covered during the 1st nine weeks. Please check your student's agenda for homework assignments.
6th Grade Literature Resource:
During the first nine weeks, the lessons will focus on the elements of a short story. We will read various short stories from the text and other reading materials. We will also read our first novel and complete the first book report during this grading period.
6th Grade Math Resource
During the first nine weeks, your student will learn about decimal operations, gathering data, the order of operations, variables & expressions, solving equations, and divisibility.
I look forward to working with everyone (students and parents) to ensure a successful school year. Please email me with any concerns or questions and I will get back to you right away!
