Welcome to the 2nd nine weeks of the 2008-2009 school year!  We worked learned a lot and worked hard during the 1st nine weeks.  Below is an outline of what will be covered during the 2nd nine weeks.  Please check your student's agenda for daily homework assignments, upcoming quizzes, and projects.

6th Grade Literature-Resource

During the 2nd nine weeks, the lessons will focus on mythology, legends, tall tales and fairy tales.  We will continue to read short stories from the text and other reading materials.  We will read two novels and will complete two book reports.

6th Grade Math-Resource

During the 2nd nine weeks, the focus will be on fractions.  We will begin with prime/composite numbers, divisibility, greatest common factors, and least common multiples.  Your student will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions as well as converting fractions to percents and decimals.

For my students in the co-teaching classroom, please be sure to check out the regular education teacher's Schoolnotes webpage for information and updates.  They are:

6th Grade Literature - Mrs. Eimer
6th Grade Math - Mrs. Bryant
7th Grade Math - Mrs. Hinson

Please email me with any concerns or questions and I will get back to you right away!

Mrs. Crim
