Our class is focusing on the following Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) during this 9 week grading period:
MATH
M6M1, M7D1, . Students will convert from one unit to another within one system of measurement (customary or metric) by using proportional relationships.
M6D1. Students will pose questions, collect data, represent and analyze the data,
and interpret results.
M8P4. Students will make connections among mathematical ideas and to other
disciplines.
ENGLISH/LANGUAGE ARTS
ELA6RC2 The student participates in discussions related to curricular learning in
all subject areas.
ELA7R1 The student demonstrates comprehension and shows evidence of a
warranted and responsible explanation of a variety of literary and informational
texts.
ELA8R4 The student acquires knowledge of Georgia authors and significant text
created by them.
We are accessing these standards through use of data from the Summer Olympic and Para Olympic Games 2008.
