Tests this week:
Tuesday 9/31- English(grammar) test on sentences
Thursday 10/2- Vocabulary, spelling pre test,

This week our story is "How I Spent My Summer Vacation". Our focus skill is fact and fiction. Vocabulary words were sent home Friday and will be tested Thursday. You can review the words by clicking the flashcard link above.
In English(grammar), we continue working on sentences. Now we are identifying subjects and predicates (naming parts and action parts).
**WE WILL HAVE A TEST ON THIS UNIT TUESDAY.**
We also know that sentences must be a complete thought, make sense, begin with a capital letter, and have punctuation at the end. We have also learned about questions and statements.
We will then begin a unit on nouns.
In Science we are learning about life cycles of animals.
This week's spelling words are:
voices
cowboys
toy
enjoyment
oil
point
join
soil
joy
coin
around
