Week of March 16th
We are reading the novel Holes by Louis Sachar. The students are truly enjoying the book. We have comprehension quizzes every 5 chapters. The vocabulary associated with the story are listed below. We will test over the first half on Friday 3/20 (Students will be required to spell and choose the correct meaning).
1. Shriveled - wrinkled or shrunken
2. excavate - to dig up
3. descendant - an offspring (child)
4. hastily - quickly
