The CRCT testing date is getting closer. Each day in math class, I am helping students review for the math CRCT. Please try to have students present in school each day in order to receive the valuable review of CRCT math skills.

Math homework will be assigned on Monday thru Thursday of each week.
This week students are beginning the skills in chapter 13. This chapter focuses on geometry skills.
1)Define and identify the characteristics of geometric figures
2)Compare angles in order to classify and identify triangles by their angles
3)Classify quadrilaterals including a square, rectangle, trapezoid, and rhombus
4)Compare and contrast a cube and rectangular prism in terms of the number and shape of their faces, edges, and vertices
5)Construct models for solid geometric figures including cubes, prisms, cylinders, cones, etc.

Skills that will be referenced all school year:
Problem solving will be taught throughout the school year.
Please have your child practice the multiplication facts. It is imperative students know the basic mulitplication facts in order to be successful with fourth grade math skills.
